New York Attorney General Letitia James on Friday expanded her lawsuit against Electronic Currency Group and other cryptocurrency defendants, tripling the dimension of their alleged fraud scheme to far more than $3 billion.

James experienced in October sued DCG, its Genesis Worldwide Cash unit, and Gemini Rely on, the trade run by twin brothers Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss.

She claimed they brought about extra than $1 billion of losses by misleading buyers about the Gemini Get paid program, which let customers lend crypto belongings to Genesis in exchange for a high price of return.
