A Japan Airlines plane carrying hundreds of passengers on Tuesday caught fire on a runway at Tokyo’s Haneda airport.
Movie footage from Japan’s community broadcaster NHK confirmed flames coming out of the windows of the plane.
It arrives soon after different media reviews citing authorities claimed the aircraft, which took off from Hokkaido, might have collided with yet another plane right after landing at Haneda airport.
All 379 passengers and crew on board had been evacuated from the airplane, Reuters noted, citing Japan Airways.
A spokesperson for Japan Airways was not instantly readily available to comment when contacted by CNBC.
This is a producing tale and will be updated soon.
