The export regulations principally concentrate on chips that enable AI apps, but gaming-targeted processors are also in the firing line as numerous also have likely uses in artificial intelligence.

The Nvidia RTX 4090 was included on the record of banned U.S.-designed chips, according to an Oct. 17 Securities and Trade Fee submitting. On its web site, Nvidia suggests the RTX 4090D chip leverages AI to enrich effectiveness.
