Israel-linked hackers assert cyberattack that hit 70% of Iran&#x27s gasoline stations

A hacking team widely reported as becoming connected to Israel has taken duty for a cyberattack that’s knocked out the vast majority of gas stations across Iran, main to lengthy lines of cars and trucks and angry crowds.

Iranian condition Television set cited the country’s Oil Minister Javad Owji saying that exterior interference was a possible result in right after 70% of Iran’s gasoline stations were strike by service disruptions, according to Reuters.

A team named Gonjeshke Darande, or Predatory Sparrow, claimed it was at the rear of the assault in a post on the social media site X.

“We, Gonjeshke Darande, carried out another cyberattack right now, using out a the greater part of the fuel pumps throughout Iran. This cyberattack will come in reaction to the aggression of the Islamic Republic and its proxies in the area,” the write-up go through.

Addressing Iran’s leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the group included: “Khamenei, participating in with fireplace has a value.”

Gonjeshke Darande has claimed accountability for previous cyberattacks on Iran, which includes a person on Iran’s main steel providers.

Iran’s civil defense agency said an investigation was underway and that it was continue to examining all doable triggers for the disruption. Israeli media has covered the alleged attack, but Israel’s authorities has not commented on it.
