Amazon to invest up to  billion in Anthropic, a rival to ChatGPT developer OpenAI

E-commerce large Amazon on Monday said it will spend up to $4 billion in Anthropic and take a minority possession situation in the company.

Anthropic was established around two many years back by previous OpenAI exploration executives, and not too long ago debuted its new AI chatbot termed Claude 2.

The two corporations reported Monday that it was forming a strategic collaboration to advance generative AI, with the startup picking Amazon Web Services as its primary cloud company. Anthropic stated it will provide AWS customers with early entry to special characteristics for product customization and high-quality-tuning abilities.
