Microsoft on Tuesday submitted a new deal to U.K. regulators for the takeover of Activision Blizzard soon after the rejection of its original proposal.

The U.S. technology big initially set forward the $69 billion acquisition of Activision in January 2022 but has since confronted regulatory troubles in the U.S., Europe and U.K.

On Tuesday, the U.K.’s Competitiveness and Markets Authority verified it has blocked the authentic offer. Nevertheless, it explained each Microsoft and Activision have agreed to a new, restructured settlement, which will now be investigated by the CMA with a conclusion deadline of Oct. 18.

Under the restructured deal, Microsoft will not purchase cloud legal rights for present Activision Pc and console video games, or for new games produced by Activision all through the up coming 15 decades, the CMA claimed.

Rather, these legal rights will be divested to match publisher Ubisoft Entertainment prior to Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision, the CMA added.
