WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden hammered the Supreme Courtroom over its Thursday ruling placing down the use of affirmative motion in university admissions, declaring the choice “walked away from many years of precedent.”

But he urged universities not to end considering racial adversity for applicants altogether.

“We can not let this determination be the very last term,” Biden mentioned in a White House tackle. “The courtroom can render a selection but it cannot change what The usa stands for.”

The Supreme Court ruled the affirmative action procedures of Harvard College and the University of North Carolina to be unconstitutional. The the vast majority belief by Main Justice John Roberts claimed the universities’ guidelines violated the equivalent defense clause of the Constitution’s 14th Modification.
