Just End Oil protesters halt next Ashes Check at Lord’s | England’s Jonny Bairstow carries one protester off

The 1st morning of the next Ashes Take a look at at Lord’s was interrupted when Just Stop Oil protesters ran on to the ground and scattered orange powder on the outfield.

Immediately after the first over on Wednesday bowled by England’s James Anderson to Australia batsman David Warner, two adult men emerged from the stands and moved toward the square, releasing the powder right before becoming tackled by stability staff members.

England wicketkeeper Jonny Bairstow carried just one of the men off the area before floor employees cleared the pitch and enjoy resumed right after a hold off of close to five minutes.

A few people have given that been arrested, law enforcement reported.

Creating on Twitter, a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Law enforcement explained: “We are conscious of protesters on the Lord’s Cricket Ground pitch now, Wednesday, 28 June.

Police have arrested 3 people and taken them into custody.”

Just Quit Oil protesters have disrupted other sporting gatherings in England this calendar year, such as the Premiership Rugby ultimate at Twickenham and the Globe Snooker Championship in Sheffield.
