China throws its support driving Russia, says Wagner rebellion is ‘internal affair’

China on Sunday described an aborted insurrection by a Russian mercenary pressure as an “inside affair” and expressed help for the Kremlin’s initiatives to retain nationwide steadiness.

“This is Russia’s inside affair,” claimed a Chinese international ministry’s spokesperson in a statement. “As Russia’s helpful neighbor and extensive strategic spouse of coordination for the new period, China supports Russia in protecting nationwide stability and acquiring advancement and prosperity.”
