Musk picks Vegas for Zuckerberg ‘cage match’ challenge

Twitter operator and Tesla CEO Elon Musk suggested Vegas for the area of a “cage match” after reportedly getting challenged to a battle by Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg.

“Vegas Octagon,” Musk tweeted late Wednesday. He was responding to an Instagram put up by Zuckerberg who had shot back again with a message of “mail me area” after the Tesla boss verified he was up for a “cage match.”

Cage matches have been popularized by combined martial arts or MMA franchises like UFC. The “Octagon” refers to the cage all-around the ring in which fighters struggle because it has eight sides.

The collection of exchanges begun previously this week when Mario Nawfal, founder and CEO at Intercontinental Blockchain Consulting, tweeted “META to Launch ‘Twitter Rival’ Called THREADS.” Facebook guardian Meta is reportedly working on a standalone, textual content-dependent social network app that could contend with Twitter.

Musk responded to Nawfal by declaring: “I am sure Earth are not able to wait around to be completely underneath Zuck’s thumb with no other solutions. At least it will be ‘sane’. Was nervous there for a second.”

An additional user cautioned Musk expressing, “Far better be mindful @elonmusk I listened to he does the ju jitsu now.”

Zuckerberg reportedly has a white belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He trains under Dave Camarillo of Guerilla Jiu Jitsu academy, a judo and jiu-jitsu black belt who has educated a variety of UFC champions.

That sparked a remark from Musk that recommended he is up for a struggle with the Zuckerberg. Musk quipped: “I am up for a cage match if he is lol.”

The Verge tech publication confirmed that Zuckerberg is “really serious about fighting Elon Musk and is now waiting around on the specifics” if Musk decides to follow by way of. “The tale speaks for alone,” a Meta spokesperson advised the media outlet, referring to Zuckerberg’s Instagram story. It is unclear if the combat concerning the two tech leaders will actually happen or no matter whether Musk’s tweets have been significant. A spokesperson for Meta was not straight away out there when contacted by CNBC.

Late Wednesday, Musk posted yet another tweet saying: “I have this wonderful go that I connect with ‘The Walrus’, where by I just lie on major of my opponent & do almost nothing.”

He also reported, “I virtually in no way function out, other than for selecting up my youngsters & throwing them in the air.”
