President Joe Biden will take a look at Palo Alto, California, on Monday and announce in excess of $600 million in climate investments to help coastal communities all over the state combat weather change, a White House official claimed on Sunday.

The investments will be funded by Biden’s climate and infrastructure bills and will include things like a $575 million challenge to struggle climbing sea concentrations, storm surge and tidal hurricanes, stated the formal, who did not want to be named.

It will also include things like a $67 million financial commitment for California to modernize its electrical grid to decrease the effects of excessive climate activities these as wildfires.

Biden signed a $430 billion bill very last August that was touted as the most important local weather bundle in U.S. history.

The president’s trip to California will also see him increase marketing campaign funds from tech and climate donors as he races to increase more than a billion bucks for his re-election battle.
