Chinese Tesla rival Xpeng will get approval to roll out driver-help tech in Beijing

BEIJING — Chinese electric automobile manufacturer Xpeng introduced Thursday it gained acceptance to commence rolling out assisted driving tech to buyers in the nation’s funds town of Beijing.

Thursday’s announcement follows Xpeng’s release of city situation driver-guide tech for users in Shanghai in March, soon after an before rollout in Shenzhen and Guangzhou.

Xpeng has mentioned it options to roll out the tech, known as XNGP, to other Chinese metropolitan areas this calendar year.
