French riot law enforcement fire tear gas at local climate protesters outdoors TotalEnergies shareholder meeting

French riot law enforcement on Friday fired tear gasoline at hundreds of climate activists attempting to reduce the yearly standard assembly of oil giant TotalEnergies from taking position.

Clashes broke out in between protesters and the law enforcement soon ahead of the get started of the shareholder meeting, where by investors are poised to vote on a resolution contacting on the firm to align its weather targets with the landmark Paris Arrangement and dedicate to absolute carbon emission cuts by 2030.
