Ukraine war stay updates: Uk slaps new Russia sanctions focusing on grain theft, diamond, metals


Kyiv’s Group of 7 allies are established to announce fresh sanctions targeting Russia for its whole-scale invasion of Ukraine, as officers collect for the group’s yearly summit in Hiroshima, Japan, from Friday to Sunday. The U.K. has by now stepped ahead with new measures. British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak claimed the U.K. was banning imports on Russian diamonds and copper, aluminum and nickel. The U.K. govt also formally introduced new Russia limitations against the theft and resale of Ukrainian grains, big strength and arms-transport enterprises, and some organizations connected to Russian nuclear energy firm Rosatom.

G-7 powers have relied on sanctions to decrease Russia’s war coffers in a bid to stall the development of its military services offensive in Ukraine.

On the floor, a Thursday practice railway incident could disrupt the supply of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet base in Sevastopol, Crimea, stated the British Ministry of Protection.
