As part of the transfer, the Sackler library will be renamed as the Bodleian Art, Archaeology and Historic World Library.

However, the Sackler title will be retained on the Clarendon Arch and on the Ashmolean Museum’s donor board for the uses of “historic recording of donations to the college.”

The college also said that all donations obtained from the Sackler relatives and their trusts will be retained for their supposed instructional reasons, but that no new donations have been been given from both the family or their trusts since January 2019.

In 2019, the Louvre in Paris eliminated the Sackler title from a person of its wings, even though in 2021 New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Artwork slash the title from seven exhibition spaces, which includes the wing that houses the Temple of Dendur.
