HSBC shareholders to vote on whether or not to spin off Asia enterprise at Friday’s once-a-year assembly

HSBC will keep its annual standard assembly on Friday at 11 a.m. London time/6 p.m. Hong Kong time.
Using center stage for investors will be two resolutions tabled by trader Ken Lui, which connect with for a spinoff of HSBC’s Asia business enterprise and set dividends.
HSBC’s top shareholder Ping An has supported the resolution, though HSBC alone and investor advisory corporations Glass Lewis and ISS encouraged shareholders to vote down the resolution.
