Russian Federal Protection Services investigators have formally billed Evan Gershkovich with espionage but the Wall Street Journal reporter denied the rates and stated he was working as a journalist, Russian news businesses noted on Friday.

Russia’s Federal Safety Assistance, the main successor to the Soviet-era KGB, explained on March 30 that it experienced detained Gershkovich in the Urals city of Yekaterinburg and had opened an espionage case towards the 31-year-outdated for collecting what it explained were being point out secrets and techniques about the armed forces industrial sophisticated.
