Manhattan District Legal professional Alvin Bragg sent an e mail to his team Saturday assuring them that their safety is “top rated priority” immediately after former President Donald Trump named on his supporters to protest above his supposedly imminent indictment.

“We do not tolerate makes an attempt to intimidate our workplace or threaten the rule of legislation in New York,” Bragg reported in the memo, which was obtained by NBC News from a senior formal at the Manhattan DA’s workplace.

Bragg’s business has been investigating Trump’s connection with a hush-income payment made to porn star Stormy Daniels all through his to start with operate for president in 2016. In a social media post on Saturday, Trump explained that he expects to be arrested Tuesday, citing leaks from the “corrupt” DA’s business. He urged his supporters to protest on his behalf.

A grand jury has been listening to testimony related to the 2016 payoff at the state Criminal Court in lessen Manhattan, but no community announcements have been manufactured about when or if Trump will be indicted. Legislation enforcement agencies across New York have been making protection arrangements in the case that the previous president is criminally charged.

Bragg’s email did not reference Trump or his reviews right, but he reassured staffers that he is “committed to keeping a secure do the job surroundings.” The email was initial noted by Politico. Bragg explained his business will carry on to coordinate with officials at the New York Law enforcement Division and the Workplace of Court Administration.

“Our law enforcement companions will make sure that any particular or credible threats versus the business office will be entirely investigated and that the correct safeguards are in location so all 1,600 of us have a safe function surroundings,” Bragg wrote.
