The unique counsel overseeing a felony investigation of former President Donald Trump has issued subpoenas to Trump’s daughter Ivanka and her spouse Jared Kushner, in accordance to a new report.

The subpoenas by special counsel Jack Smith, which need the couple’s testimony in advance of a grand jury, are related to his probe of Trump for attempts to continue to be in the White Property following shedding the 2020 election to President Joe Biden, The New York Occasions documented.

Both equally Ivanka Trump and Kushner served as senior White Home advisors to the previous president.

Smith formerly issued a subpoena to previous Vice President Mike Pence, who has mentioned he will oppose the demand from customers for his testimony.
