Elon Musk said in a tweet Saturday that his organization SpaceX would continue on to fund Starlink satellite world-wide-web terminals for the Ukrainian authorities as it battles invading Russian forces.

“The hell with it,” the billionaire tweeted, “even even though Starlink is continue to dropping revenue & other firms are finding billions of taxpayer $, we will just keep funding Ukraine govt for cost-free.”

It was not immediately obvious whether or not Musk was currently being sarcastic. In reaction to a tweet about the transfer, Musk mentioned, “we should really continue to do excellent deeds.” In a response to an additional tweet saying that Musk had previously paid out taxes that are funding Ukraine’s defense, he explained, “Fate enjoys irony.”

The tweets comply with a assertion from Musk on Friday in which he reported that SpaceX simply cannot proceed fund Starlink terminals in Ukraine “indefinitely,” after a report instructed his house enterprise experienced asked the Pentagon to address the costs.

SpaceX’s donated Starlink world-wide-web terminals have been important in trying to keep Ukraine’s armed service on the net throughout the war from Russia, even as communication infrastructure will get wrecked

Musk did not quickly react to requests for comment.
