Verstappen wins chaotic, rain-shortened Japanese GP to clinch title

Max Verstappen sealed his 2nd Formulation 1 earth championship amid big confusion immediately after winning a chaotic, rain-shortened Japanese Grand Prix.

There was large confusion at the chequered flag amid uncertainty around regardless of whether complete or partial factors would be awarded for a race in which only 29 of the 53 scheduled laps were being done.

Regardless of regardless of whether or not complete points had been awarded, Verstappen would have been denied the title if Charles Leclerc had come 2nd, but the Ferrari driver’s final-lap mistake saw him provided a five-next penalty that demoted him to 3rd guiding the other Crimson Bull of Sergio Perez.

The race experienced earlier threatened to be overshadowed by controversy, as an initial endeavor to begin in large rain resulted in chaos, with Carlos Sainz crashing into a barrier, just before a restoration tractor came on track right before the race had been crimson flagged, with the automobiles nevertheless on the circuit.
