Biden claims he is ‘sure’ he will see Xi at the G-20 summit if Chinese president attends

President Joe Biden reported he would “see” Chinese President Xi Jinping if the fellow environment leader also attends the approaching G-20 Summit in November.

“If he’s there, I’m certain I am going to see him,” Biden explained Tuesday when questioned if he would fulfill with Xi.

The summit, held in Bali, Indonesia this year, is the annual gathering of the world’s greatest economies. The two Xi and Russian President Vladimir Putin are arranging to attend the meeting, Indonesian President Joko Widodo reported in an interview with Bloomberg News.

Xi has not still left the state considering the fact that Jan. 2020, before the Covid-19 pandemic.

Biden and Xi earlier talked about meeting at the G-20 for the duration of their July 28 get in touch with, which took position amid heightened tensions in excess of Residence Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s vacation to Taiwan. The Wall Avenue Journal formerly noted that Chinese officers had been planning a meeting amongst Xi and Biden in Southeast Asia in November.
